15-year-old child stabbed in jealousy dispute

The incident occurred around 17:00 at the bus terminal intersection in the Binkonutlar neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district.

According to the information obtained, 15-year-old H.E.K. and 16-year-old A.H., who were known to have a pre-existing dispute due to jealousy, encountered each other in the park next to the intersection.

As the verbal argument between the two turned into a fight, H.E.K. was stabbed in the arm by A.H. and injured.

Upon the notification of citizens in the vicinity, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Following the initial intervention by medical teams, the injured child was taken to the Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital for treatment.

While it was learned that the child's life is not in danger, the suspect of the incident, a 16-year-old child, was taken to the police station by police teams to have their statement taken.

The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
