150,000 TL fine for driver who refused breathalyzer test

Teams from the Kayseri Provincial Police Department's Traffic Inspection Branch conducted inspections across the city between March 12 and 18, targeting vehicles that disturb public peace through practices such as modified exhausts, drifting, weaving through traffic, and loud music.
During the inspections, a total of 45,000 TL in fines was issued to 9 'modified vehicles,' and the vehicles were banned from traffic until they were brought into compliance. 4 vehicles were fined 64,000 TL for 'using a vehicle with a modified exhaust,' and the vehicles were banned from traffic for 30 days.
A total of 2 million 200 thousand TL in administrative fines was imposed on 55 unlicensed drivers for 'driving without a driver's license,' while 27 drivers were fined a total of 5 million 400 thousand TL for 'driving while their driver's license was suspended.' 2 drivers were fined a total of 180,000 TL for 'weaving through traffic,' and 1 driver was fined 140,000 TL for 'drifting.'
On the other hand, 383 drivers who violated red lights were issued administrative fines totaling 1 million 915 thousand TL. 8 drivers were fined a total of 200,000 TL for 'driving under the influence of alcohol,' while one driver who refused to take a breathalyzer test was issued an administrative fine of 150,000 TL, and their license was confiscated for 5 years.
