According to the information obtained, Elvan Yücetaş, who lives in the Yeşilyurt neighborhood of central Adıyaman, had left home on the morning of September 28 to go to the market.
Unable to reach their daughter again, the couple Yıldız and Abdurrahman Yücetaş reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center and filed a missing person report. Upon the report, teams from the Public Security Branch and the Child Protection Branch of the Adıyaman Provincial Police Department launched an investigation to locate Elvan.
As a result of the work carried out by the teams, it was determined that 16-year-old Elvan Yücetaş was in the city center of Şanlıurfa. Elvan was found by police teams 12 days after she went missing.
Learned that she did not want to meet with her family
It was learned that Elvan Yücetaş, who stated that she did not want to meet with her family after being found, will be handed over to a child protection institution in Şanlıurfa once the necessary investigations and procedures are completed.
On the other hand, it was stated that Elvan is in good health and had been sleeping in parks in Şanlıurfa for the 12 days she was missing.
It was learned that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
