Teams from the Provincial Security Directorate's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch launched an investigation into individuals identified as having made posts related to weapons and crime on their social media accounts.
As part of the ongoing investigation, searches were conducted at the suspects' addresses.
During the searches, a shotgun, an unlicensed pistol, a magazine, a blank-firing pistol, 79 cartridges of 7.65 millimeter caliber, and 3.2 grams of cannabis were seized.
It was reported that proceedings regarding the 17 captured suspects are ongoing.
