18-year-old arrested on allegations of making threats with a blank-firing pistol
An 18-year-old suspect detained in the Yatağan district of Muğla on allegations of making threats with a blank-firing pistol has been arrested.
According to information obtained, high school student A.K. was processed for 'armed threat' after allegedly firing a blank-firing pistol into the air during an argument with friends on March 2.
A.K., who was detained yesterday as part of an investigation launched by the Yatağan Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was referred to the Yatağan Courthouse. Following his interrogation at the Criminal Court of Peace, the suspect was arrested and sent to prison.
It was learned that in his statement, the suspect claimed he did not use a weapon during the incident, did not make any threats, and that the accusations did not reflect the truth.
A.K.'s lawyer, Hüseyin Ömer Akgör, stated after the arrest decision, "The principle of personal liability for crimes is being violated, and the responsibility for different actions that have no relation or connection to the incident is being placed on my client."
