2 dead, 5 injured in debt-related dispute

The incident occurred near the rural Bostancık neighborhood in the Şahinbey district. According to allegations, an argument broke out between two feuding groups over a debt issue.

The argument escalated quickly and turned into a fight. In the clash where weapons were used, 1 person died at the scene, and an individual named Yasin Ö. (33) passed away at the hospital where he was taken.

A total of 5 people, including the injured Hüseyin Ö. (18), Murat Ö. (46), Mustafa Ö., Mehmet Ö., and one other person whose name could not be learned, were taken to Gaziantep City Hospital, Abdülkadir Yüksel State Hospital, and Şehitkamil State Hospital after initial intervention by medical teams at the scene.

The bodies of the 2 deceased were taken to the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy after the completion of procedures.

Following the incident, the gendarmerie took extensive security measures and an investigation has been launched.
