In the Ereğli district of Zonguldak, 2 people who entered the water in an area where swimming is prohibited due to weather conditions faced the danger of drowning. The incident occurred around noon in the Köseağzı locality of the district's Alı neighborhood.

Despite warnings, the 2 people who entered the sea had a difficult time after a while due to rising waves. Citizens in the vicinity who noticed the situation held hands and formed a human chain.

Medical teams were dispatched to the area for the 2 people who were brought to the shore with the intervention of the citizens. The individuals, who received their first intervention at the scene, were taken to the hospital by ambulances and placed under treatment.

It was learned that the 2 people taken under treatment at the hospital are not in life-threatening condition. It was stated that authorities emphasized the need to comply with warnings issued during adverse weather and sea conditions.
