20 students hospitalized on school trip due to suspected poisoning
Out of a group of 40 students on a trip from Mersin, 20 have been taken under treatment at Haymana State Hospital due to suspected poisoning.
Nearly 20 students from a group of approximately 40 who set out on a school trip from Mersin began experiencing nausea and vomiting on their return journey.
According to the information obtained, the students stopped in Bursa to eat Iskender kebab on their way back from the trip.
As some students became ill during the continuation of the journey, the teachers and the organization team applied to the Emergency Department of Haymana State Hospital, the nearest healthcare facility.
While the students received initial treatment at the hospital, it was assessed that the discomfort might be food-related. It was learned that medical teams are focusing on the suspicion of poisoning in their initial examinations.
It was stated that the health condition of the students under treatment is good, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
