21-year-old university student found dead in dormitory
A 21-year-old university student was found dead in the dormitory where he was staying in Zonguldak.
The incident occurred at around 21:00 at the KYK Male Student Dormitory in the Kilimli district. After 21-year-old Doğan Karadoğan remained in the restroom for a long time, his roommate became concerned and notified the staff on duty. When the staff member was unable to reach Karadoğan, fire and medical teams were called.
Upon receiving the report, fire crews arrived at the scene and broke down the restroom door, where they discovered Karadoğan's lifeless body. Following checks by medical teams, it was determined that Karadoğan had passed away.
Karadoğan's body was taken to the morgue at Atatürk State Hospital following the investigation.
ZBEÜ Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and Youth and Sports Director Hakan Yüksel also arrived at the scene.
It was learned that Doğan Karadoğan, a first-year student in the Radio and Television Programming Department at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, suffered from epilepsy. The exact cause of Karadoğan's death will be determined following an autopsy.
