230 kilograms of illicit tobacco seized from bus stopped for identity check
In operations conducted by gendarmerie teams in Kayseri, 230 kilograms of illicit tobacco were seized from a passenger bus that had been stopped for an identity check.
According to the information obtained, teams from the Kayseri Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch stopped a bus for identity verification during road control activities on the Kayseri-Malatya Highway in the Solaklar neighborhood. During the searches conducted by the teams with the assistance of a tea and tobacco detection dog, 230 kilograms of unbanded shredded tobacco were seized.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
