The incident occurred in the Çanakçı neighborhood of Nizip district. It is alleged that 26 students at the boarding Quran course fell ill after eating chicken doner brought in from outside by a benefactor.
A report was made to the 112 Emergency Call Center for the students who showed symptoms of poisoning.
Upon the report, numerous medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The 26 students who fell ill were taken to Nizip State Hospital following initial intervention by the medical teams.
While it was learned that the students receiving treatment at the hospital are in good health, an investigation into the incident has been launched.
