28 grams of synthetic drugs seized in vehicle: Ruling on municipal official who drew a weapon on police in Adana!

According to the statement from the Provincial Security Directorate, teams from the Seyhan District Security Directorate conducted a stationary traffic stop in the Tellidere neighborhood.

During the operation, a pickup truck with license plate 06 DDF 448, driven by M.A.Ş., failed to comply with a "Stop" order and was intercepted and stopped on Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard near the canal following a pursuit.

Following warnings from police teams, the driver M.A.Ş., who is a prison guard, along with A.B. and Seyhan Municipality Cleaning Affairs Manager Selahattin Ş., stated that they would not exit the vehicle.

During this time, Selahattin Ş. attempted to slap a police officer and insulted them.

Selahattin Ş., who drew the weapon from his waistband, pointed it at the police officer, and resisted by kicking, was neutralized using pepper spray.

During the detention process, M.A.Ş., who attempted to take Selahattin Ş. from the police, was also neutralized with pepper spray, while A.B., who fled the scene, was caught following a pursuit.

Selahattin Ş., M.A.Ş., and A.B. were taken into custody by police teams.

28 GRAMS OF SYNTHETIC DRUGS SEIZED IN VEHICLE

The pistol, magazine, and 16 cartridges that Selahattin Ş. pointed at the police officer were seized, and 28 grams of synthetic drugs were found during a search of the vehicle.

Traffic teams issued a penalty to the driver M.A.Ş. for driving under the influence of alcohol, and the vehicle, which was determined to have been rented by the Seyhan Municipality, was impounded and towed to a parking lot.

Following their processing at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse; Selahattin Ş. was arrested by the duty magistrate, while the others were released under judicial control conditions.

Meanwhile, it was noted that Selahattin Ş. has three prior criminal records for "intentional injury," "resisting an officer to prevent them from performing their duty," and "endangering traffic safety."
