Three people have been arrested in an investigation into allegations of torture against 8-year-old H.Z. in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa.
According to the allegations, the incident took place in the Ayvanat neighborhood of Siverek.
It was claimed that H.Z. was beaten by their stepmother, B.Z., and that their body was burned with an iron.
The severely injured child was transferred to the Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital following initial intervention at Siverek State Hospital.
B.Z., S.Z., and S.A., who were taken into custody as part of the investigation, were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie. The 3 suspects were brought before the court and arrested, then sent to prison.
It was learned that the treatment of H.Z., who is reported to have severe burns on their body, is continuing at the Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital.
