The incident occurred in the Derebahçe neighborhood. Narcotics teams wanted to stop individuals they found suspicious.

During this time, it is alleged that G.R. made threatening remarks and threw the handgun he was carrying to the ground. It was stated that G.R.'s father, Y.R., also resisted the police with threats and insults, while H.A. arrived at the scene and attempted to obstruct the detention process.

The 3 suspects were taken into custody with the intervention of backup teams. It was learned that 3 police officers were injured during the incident, though their injuries were not life-threatening. The handgun that G.R. threw to the ground and 11 cartridges were seized.

It was determined that the serial number on the handgun was a replica of the serial number of a weapon belonging to a police officer serving in Ankara.

After their procedures at the police station, the 3 suspects were referred to the courthouse and appeared before the duty judge. G.R. and Y.R. were referred to the court with a request for arrest, while H.A. was referred under judicial control. The court decided to release all 3 suspects under judicial control conditions.
