3 workers rescued from collapse in Şanlıurfa lose their lives
In the Ceylanpınar district of Şanlıurfa, 3 of the 4 workers who were trapped under a collapse during sewage work and subsequently rescued have died in the hospital.
The incident occurred in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of Ceylanpınar district.
Four workers performing sewage work in the area were trapped under a collapse caused by a landslide.
A large number of fire, medical, police, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene.
While one worker trapped under the collapse was rescued immediately after the incident, the other 3 workers were rescued by the teams in critical condition.
The workers rescued from the collapse in critical condition, Engin Çekiç, Kadir Altınöz, and Halil Kartalmış, were taken to Ceylanpınar State Hospital by ambulances after receiving initial intervention from medical teams.
3 WORKERS LOST THEIR LIVES
The critically injured workers Engin Çekiç, Kadir Altınöz, and Halil Kartalmış could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital and lost their lives.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
