34-year veteran police officer bids farewell to colleagues over radio

Veteran Police Officer Metin Kuş, who served for 34 years in the Turkish Police Service to ensure the peace and security of citizens, has retired.

The police officer, who served at the Çankırı Provincial Police Department, said goodbye to his colleagues with a radio announcement.

In his announcement, Kuş stated, "My professional life, which began at the police academy in 1992, comes to an end today due to the age limit. I am very proud to have had the honor and privilege of working with such wonderful people who love their country and flag, starting with my esteemed Chief. I wish you and your families a blessed life and success in your work, I pray for mercy for our martyrs and healing for our veterans, and I entrust you all to God. Please grant me your blessing."

Following the announcement, Çankırı Provincial Police Chief Aytekin Canıtez thanked Kuş for his many years of service to the Police Department and wished him health, peace, and happiness in his retirement.
