35-kilogram catfish caught by amateur fisherman at Kazandere Dam

A giant catfish caught on an amateur fisherman's line at the Kazandere Dam in the Vize district of Kırklareli drew attention in the region.

52-year-old Nurettin Top, who lives in the Kapaklı district of Tekirdağ, went to the Kazandere Dam to fish yesterday morning. After casting his line into the water, Top realized after a while that a powerful fish had taken the bait.

It was stated that the catfish caught by Top, who managed to bring the fish to the shore after a long struggle, weighed approximately 35 kilograms.

Describing the excitement he felt, Top said that he had caught many catfish before, but this was the first time he had caught one of this size. Top said, "I did not expect such a large catfish to get caught on my line. I truly experienced an unforgettable moment."

The giant catfish also drew the attention of citizens around the dam and those interested in fishing in the region.
