Fake olive oil worth 780,400 liras was seized in a van stopped at the Kuyucak highway toll booths; 2 people are in custody.
In the Kuyucak district of Aydın, 4,780 liters of fake olive oil were seized during a search of a van stopped by gendarmerie teams at the highway toll booths.
Teams from the Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch and the Highway Gendarmerie Command launched an investigation following a tip-off that fake olive oil was going to be put on the market.

As part of the operation, the suspicious van was stopped at the Kuyucak highway toll booths. During the inspection of the vehicle, fake olive oil, which was assessed to have been prepared for distribution to the market, was found.
It was stated that the market value of the seized products is approximately 780,400 liras.
During the operation, the 26-year-old driver of the van, B.C.A., and 27-year-old C.O., who was in the vehicle, were taken into custody. It was reported that the suspects' procedures at the gendarmerie are ongoing.
