40 people rescued in Kayseri flood disaster: 1 citizen lost their life
Heavy rainfall in the Bünyan district of Kayseri caused flooding. The district hit by the flood suffered widespread material damage. While search and rescue efforts continue for 1 missing person, a citizen who was transported to the hospital has lost their life.
40 people who were trapped in vehicles and houses during the flood that occurred in the Bünyan district of Kayseri have been rescued. Heavy rainfall in the district's Güllüce neighborhood turned into a flood.
While widespread material damage occurred in the district hit by floodwaters, many houses were also flooded.

As vehicles were swept away by floodwaters, it was learned that one person went missing. Following the flood, AFAD, UMKE, JAK, fire department, Anda search and rescue, and Turkuaz search and rescue teams were dispatched to the region.

Teams have launched an operation to find the missing person. Meanwhile, Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, AKP Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar, and AKP Provincial Chairman Fatih Üzüm also arrived in the region to receive information from Bünyan Mayor Selahattin Metin and the teams.

Furthermore, it was stated that 40 people who were trapped in their vehicles and homes during the flood were rescued, and Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, making a statement on his social media account, said, "Upon receiving information that some of our citizens were trapped due to the flood disaster in our Bünyan district, our teams immediately began operations and reached our trapped citizens. Search efforts for one missing citizen are still ongoing."

AFAD: FLOODS OCCURRED IN THE BLACK SEA AND CENTRAL ANATOLIA
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that floods and inundations occurred in the Black Sea and Central Anatolia regions as a result of extreme rainfall and that intervention efforts are ongoing. One citizen lost their life in Kırşehir due to the flood, while search efforts continue for 1 person swept away by the flood in Kayseri.

The orange rainfall warning for our provinces of Samsun and Ordu is expected to continue until 08:00 in the morning.”
1 PERSON LOST THEIR LIFE
According to information shared by AFAD, a landslide occurred in the Güllüce neighborhood of Kayseri's Bünyan district as a result of extreme rainfall. 8 vehicles and 32 citizens affected by the extreme rainfall and trapped were evacuated to safe areas. Information was received that 1 vehicle was dragged into a creek bed as a result of the landslide. Efforts by a 150-person search and rescue team are continuing to find 1 citizen believed to be inside the vehicle.
In Kırşehir, one person who was swept away by the flood was pulled from the water and transported to the hospital. The citizen who was swept away by the flood could not be saved despite all interventions and lost their life.
In Samsun, 150 agricultural workers affected by the extreme rainfall were taken to safe areas as a precaution. In Nevşehir, 15 people affected by floods and inundations were evacuated to safe areas.
