6 tons of counterfeit alcohol seized ahead of New Year
In a raid on a location identified as a production site for counterfeit alcohol in the Çine district of Aydın, 6 tons of counterfeit alcohol were seized.
The AydınProvincial Gendarmerie Command has intensified its inspections across the provinceregarding the production and saleof counterfeit alcohol ahead of theNew Year. According to information obtained,gendarmerie teams conducteda As a result of theinvestigations, they identified a suspect in the Çine district who was preparing tointroduce counterfeit and illicit alcoholto the market.
Taking action, the teams raided a house located in the Yolboyu neighborhood of Çine district and aworkplace in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood.During theDuring the searches, 6 tons of counterfeit alcohol and 2 distillation systems were seized.The suspectM.A. (63), who wasapprehended and taken intocustody, is nowfacing legalproceedings.
