8-vehicle pile-up in Beyoğlu
5 people were injured in a chain-reaction traffic accident involving 8 vehicles in Beyoğlu.
The accident occurred around 20:45 in the direction of Kabataş on Gazhane Street. According to the information obtained, the minibus with license plate 34 PVE 181 hit a luxury commercial minibus in front of it after the driver lost steering control.
Subsequently, a chain-reaction accident occurred involving a total of 8 vehicles, including 3 commercial taxis that were following behind.
Upon notification, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
While police teams closed one lane of the street to traffic, 5 people who were slightly injured in the accident were taken to hospitals by ambulance after initial interventions at the scene.
While 3 of the vehicles involved in the accident became unusable, the vehicles were removed from the area with the help of a tow truck. Traffic returned to normal after the street was cleaned. On the other hand, the accident area was viewed from the air by drone.
