Administrative action taken against police officers involved in driver assault incident
Administrative action has been initiated against two police officers involved in the assault of a driver in the Narlıdere district of İzmir, and one of the officers has been suspended.
According to allegations, a car driven by Ş.B. (27) in the Narlıdere district was stopped by police teams over claims that the driver was weaving through traffic.
After being removed from the vehicle, the driver reacted to having his arm pulled, at which point he was assaulted by the police officers.
The moments when the police teams detained the driver were captured second-by-second on the vehicle's dashcam.
According to information obtained from security sources, the necessary administrative procedures have been initiated against the two police officers involved in the incident, and it was learned that the police officer who carried out the assault has been suspended following the event.
