AFAD announces: 4.8 magnitude earthquake in Kütahya
The AFAD Earthquake Department reported that a 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Simav district of Kütahya.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) Earthquake Department announced that a 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Simav district of Kütahya at approximately 17:31.
It was recorded that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 9.12 kilometers.
KÜTAHYA GOVERNOR IŞIN: NO SERIOUS NEGATIVE INCIDENTS REPORTED
Kütahya Governor Musa Işın stated regarding the 4.8 magnitude earthquake in the Simav district, "No serious negative incidents have been reported so far."
A 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter in the Yemişli village of the Simav district. While the earthquake, which occurred at 17:31, was also felt in surrounding provinces, Kütahya Governor Musa Işın made a statement regarding the latest situation. Stating that no serious negative incidents have been reported so far, Governor Işın said, "The teams of all our institutions, primarily AFAD, have begun the necessary scanning and examinations in the field. We are mobilizing all our resources for the safety of our citizens. On this occasion, I convey my best wishes to my esteemed fellow citizens affected by the earthquake. May God protect our country and our nation from all kinds of disasters."
Citizens also stated that they felt the earthquake and expressed their relief that there was no loss of life or property.
