AFAD personnel commits suicide
A search and rescue worker employed at the Zonguldak AFAD Provincial Directorate has committed suicide by shooting himself with a rifle.
The incident occurred in the Ormanlı town of the Ereğli district. According to the information obtained, 43-year-old M.Ç., a father of two who worked as a search and rescue officer at the Zonguldak AFAD Provincial Directorate, shot himself with a rifle.
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
During the examination, it was determined that M.Ç. had lost his life.
It was reported that M.Ç.'s body will be handed over to his family following an autopsy.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
