Alarming fire on an IETT bus
A private public bus operating under IETT caught fire for an unknown reason while waiting for its departure time at a stop in Beyoğlu. It was reported that there were no deaths or injuries in the fire, which was extinguished by fire crews.
The fire occurred around 23:00 on Meclisi Mebusan Street in the Cihangir neighborhood of Beyoğlu. According to reports, a fire broke out for an unknown reason in the engine compartment of the private public bus with license plate 34 HO 2543, which operates under IETT and was waiting for its departure time at the Fındıklı bus stop.
Passengers who noticed the fire rushed out in a panic while simultaneously notifying the fire department and police teams.
Police teams arriving at the scene took security measures on the street, while fire crews intervened in the fire. The fire was extinguished in a short time by the fire department. There were no deaths or injuries in the fire, which caused damage to the bus.
