Allegation of sexual harassment against woman sunbathing on the beach
A man accused of sexually harassing a young woman sunbathing on the beach in the Atakum district of Samsun has been taken into custody by police teams.
The incident occurred yesterday at approximately 18:50 on the beach across from the Yeşilyurt Shopping Mall in the Denizevleri neighborhood of the Atakum district.
According to the allegations, 24-year-old beautician İ.Ç. filed a complaint with the police, claiming that 40-year-old Ş.K. had sexually harassed her.
Following the report, Ş.G., who was apprehended by teams from the Atakum District Police Department's Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau, was referred to the Samsun Courthouse today after the completion of procedures at the police station.
The suspect, who was referred to the court by the prosecutor with a request for arrest, was released under judicial control with a travel ban prohibiting him from leaving the country.
