Allegations of sexual assault and phone theft
In the Alanya district of Antalya, a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a Kazakhstani woman and stealing her mobile phone has been apprehended by police and subsequently arrested by the court.
The incident occurred last night in the Güllerpınarı neighborhood.
According to the allegations, Anel B. (35), a citizen of Kazakhstan, and Muhammed A. (24), a citizen of Syria, met on Bar Street and went to a hotel after spending some time together.
It is alleged that while Muhammed A. was leaving the hotel, Anel B. reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, claiming that the suspect had sexually assaulted her by force and fled with her mobile phone.
Suspect apprehended in a short time
Launching an investigation upon the report, teams from the Alanya District Police Department apprehended the suspect, Muhammed A., on the coastal road in a short time and took him into custody. Following the procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse, where he was arrested by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace on charges of 'sexual assault' and sent to the Alanya L-Type Closed Penal Execution Institution.
It was learned that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
