Ambulance carrying pregnant woman involved in accident

According to the information obtained, the accident occurred around 16:30 at the Sarımeşe traffic lights. Medical teams were dispatched to the scene for a 5-month pregnant woman who had fallen and was injured. The medical teams picked up the injured woman and set off for the hospital. The ambulance with license plate 41 ANG 584, driven by H.D., collided at the traffic lights with a Dacia-brand light commercial vehicle with license plate 41 AYD 947, driven by M.N.K. Due to the force of the collision, the light commercial vehicle knocked down a traffic signal pole.

Upon notification, numerous ambulances, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams that arrived at the scene in a short time first transported the pregnant woman to the hospital by ambulance. The ambulance driver, 2 emergency medical technicians injured in the accident, and the mother of the light commercial vehicle driver M.N.K. were placed on stretchers by medical teams and taken to the hospital.

The driver M.N.K., who was trapped in the light commercial vehicle, was rescued by teams from the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and handed over to medical teams. The 5 injured people were taken to nearby hospitals and placed under treatment.

While the vehicles were damaged due to the accident, the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
