Ankara Governor's Office: Investigation launched into peer bullying

The Ankara Governor's Office has announced that a judicial and administrative investigation has been launched regarding footage of peer bullying in Ankara, in which a group of girls targeted a female student.

The statement read, "A judicial and administrative investigation has been launched regarding the incident that took place in a park in our Keçiören district, which was published on some social media platforms under titles such as 'High school peer horror in Ankara' and similar, and which contains footage of peer bullying by a group of female students against another female student.

The 5 suspect students involved in the incident have been identified and apprehended, and in accordance with the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, their statements have been taken in due form and they have been referred to judicial authorities.

In addition, a 10-day school suspension measure has been applied to 2 students within the scope of Article 175 of the Secondary Education Institutions Regulation, and administrative proceedings and investigations are ongoing regarding all students involved in the incident," the statement added.
