Another missing child report, this time from Çanakkale: 12-year-old Resul Guliyev is being sought everywhere

While the Narin Güran murder case remains at the center of the public agenda, another report of a missing child has come from Çanakkale.

In the village of Pınarbaşı in the Ezine district of Çanakkale, 12-year-old Resul Guliyev went to school with his family in the morning.

Upon returning from school, 12-year-old Resul told his mother that he had torn his bag. His mother, Yakut Askerova, warned the child. Frightened after the warnings, Resul left the house. Seeing that their child had not returned home by the evening, the family reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, gendarmerie, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene.

LARGE-SCALE SEARCH INITIATED

The teams dispatched to the scene initiated a large-scale search within the village and its surroundings. Security cameras in the village were examined one by one. It was observed that Resul was last captured by a security camera located at the village exit.

GRIEVING MOTHER DESCRIBES THOSE MOMENTS

The grieving family, who participated in the search efforts throughout the night, returned home in the morning hours. Resul's mother, Yakut Askerova, said, "Yesterday was the first day of school. We went to school together. He should normally be in the 6th grade, but because he was held back for a year, he started 5th grade again. We woke up in the morning, I prepared breakfast. He had missing supplies, we went to the stationery store and got them. We went to school, after the National Anthem he came to me and said, 'Mom, I've gotten used to it,' and kissed my cheek. I returned home after Resul entered the classroom. My son came home around 16:30. He had broken the water bottle compartment of his bag. I was doing chores at home, and when he told me, I scolded him unintentionally. He said, 'Mom, it will be fine if you sew it,' and I was too hard on him. I asked why he did it, my son; I wish I hadn't said that. He was afraid of me and left from the back of the house. He had gone to a restaurant without my knowledge before, and I had warned him, and he ran away from home. We found him in the village. We don't have any relatives in the village or in the center. He was also captured on the cameras at the village exit. Seeing him there gave me some relief."

Meanwhile, search efforts for the child resumed with the first light of day.
