Apartment fire in Kepez: 5 people hospitalized

A fire that broke out in an apartment in Antalya's Kepez district caused panic. The fire started around 12:30 PM in an apartment on the 3rd floor of a 4-story building on Ulusoy Street, which is reportedly occupied by İbrahimcan Y.

It was reported that the flames engulfed the home in a short time and thick smoke spread throughout the building. Upon notification by those who saw the fire, numerous fire and medical teams were dispatched to the address.

Those trapped in the building were evacuated through the efforts of the fire crews. While the teams intervened in the flames, they also safely brought those remaining inside to the outside.

Tuğçe Y., her 1-year-old son Muhammet Y., and Havva Y. were removed from the building by the fire department. Tuğçe Y., Muhammet Y., Havva Y., İbrahimcan Y., and Seda K., who were affected by the smoke, were taken to the hospital after initial intervention at the scene.

The flames were extinguished in a short time with the intervention of the teams. While damage occurred in the apartment, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
