Armed attack on a family in Hatay

An armed attack was carried out against 40-year-old Cemile Yıldırım and her family while they were inside their container home at the container city located in the Karataş neighborhood of Kırıkhan district.

In the armed attack carried out by an individual identified as M.D. for unknown reasons, mother Cemile Yıldırım lost her life, while 45-year-old father Hüseyin Yıldırım and their daughter Melike Yıldırım were seriously injured.

Upon notification by citizens who witnessed the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police and ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene. Following the initial intervention by medical teams who arrived in the area shortly after, the seriously injured were transported to the hospital. While the treatment of the father and daughter continues at the hospital, the lifeless body of mother Cemile was taken to the morgue.

Police teams are continuing their efforts to apprehend the suspect identified as M.D., who fled after carrying out the armed attack.
