Armed clash between two groups in Küçükçekmece: 10 injured, 1 in critical condition

The incident occurred at 15:00 on Kule Street in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district.

According to the information obtained, while one party, who were relatives and had a long-standing feud over a girl, was sitting in a coffeehouse, the opposing group arrived in cars and began to argue. 

The parties first assaulted each other with sticks and kicks, after which an armed clash broke out between them.

In the ensuing fight and clash, 10 people from both groups were injured, one of them critically.

Upon notification, numerous police and ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene.

POLICE FIRED WARNING SHOTS

Police teams arriving at the scene fired warning shots into the air to disperse the groups.

While the police subsequently secured the perimeter at the scene, the injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances after receiving initial medical intervention.

Meanwhile, unexploded cartridges and numerous empty shell casings were found during the investigation at the scene. It was learned that the person in critical condition remains in life-threatening danger, and the police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
