Attack on 112 Emergency Health team in Diyarbakır
Two healthcare workers were injured in the central Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır after being attacked by the relatives of a patient while responding to an emergency call.
In the Barış neighborhood, relatives of an individual suffering from a headache requested assistance from the 112 Emergency Call Center.
When the 112 Emergency Health team dispatched to the specified address attempted to treat the patient at home, the relatives demanded that the patient be taken to the hospital and attacked the medical team with a knife and a bottle.
In the incident, Z.B. and E.T. from the medical team were injured.
Upon notification, police and additional 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the area.
The injured were taken to the Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital.
