In the statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was stated that an individual identified as C.B. attempted to damage the statue of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk located on Cumhuriyet Street in the district.

The statement provided the following information: "In the initial investigation, it was understood that the individual named C.B. has a psychiatric condition and has been receiving inpatient treatment from time to time in hospitals in different provinces since 2015, and the necessary proceedings have been initiated against the individual."
