Attack on emergency room doctor
Emergency room doctor Umut T., who works at Iğdır Dr. Nevruz Erez State Hospital, was attacked by patients' relatives.
The incident occurred in the emergency department of Iğdır Dr. Nevruz Erez State Hospital in the evening hours. According to allegations, following a dispute regarding treatment in the emergency room, two patients' relatives first verbally and then physically attacked the doctor.
Following the act of violence against Dr. Umut T. during the attack, a "white code" was issued by the hospital administration, and an official process was initiated. While security and police teams were dispatched to the scene, the attackers were taken into custody shortly after. The injured doctor, Umut T., was taken under treatment at the hospital following the incident.

Examinations revealed that the doctor had a dislocation in his right arm, damage to his cheekbone, and a fracture in his right finger.
A judicial and administrative investigation has been launched into the incident. While health unions issued statements condemning the event, no statement regarding the incident has been made by the Provincial Health Directorate or the hospital administration.
