Attempted assault in traffic: Two drivers fined 360 thousand TL
Two drivers who exited their vehicles to commit an assault in Beykoz have been fined a total of 360 thousand TL.
An investigation was launched regarding an attempted assault in traffic that was detected via City Security Management System (KGYS) cameras.
In the examinations conducted by the Beykoz District Police Department Traffic Inspection Bureau teams, the drivers who exited their vehicles to commit an assault were identified in a short time.
It was determined that M.C.Ö. and B.K. persistently followed another vehicle in traffic and exited their vehicles with the intent to assault. Legal action was taken against the individuals under Article 46/4 of the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918.
The two drivers had their driver's licenses revoked for 60 days and were issued a total administrative fine of 360 thousand TL. Additionally, the vehicles were banned from traffic for 60 days.
On the other hand, it was learned that judicial proceedings have also been initiated against the individuals under Articles 179 and 223 of the Turkish Penal Code.
