Blow to drug shipment from Europe to Bodrum
Nine people identified as bringing narcotics from the Greek island of Kos to Bodrum were captured in an operation.
A joint operation was conducted by the Muğla Intelligence Branch Directorate and the Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate to prevent drug trafficking.
On July 19, an operation was carried out against suspects identified as bringing narcotics they had procured in Europe to Bodrum via the Greek island of Kos, as well as individuals determined to have assisted them.
During the searches conducted in the operation, 659 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of skunk, 23 cartons of cigarettes, 13 bottles of alcohol, 4 precision scales, 1 unlicensed pistol, 72 cartridges, and 40 thousand TL, 3 thousand 100 Dollars, and 1750 Euros, which were assessed to be proceeds of crime, were seized. Of the 9 suspects detained and referred to the courthouse in the operation, 8 were arrested. 1 suspect was released under judicial control measures.
