The incident occurred around 20:30 in a vacant lot located in the Merkez neighborhood of Küçükçekmece's Halkalı district.

According to reports, citizens having a picnic in the vacant lot in the Merkez neighborhood during the evening hours discovered a male body. The citizens notified the police teams. Upon arriving at the scene, the teams determined that the body belonged to Furkan Ç., who had not been heard from for some time and was being sought by his family.

Following the work of the Crime Scene Investigation teams, it was learned that Furkan Ç. had been shot in the head and that the weapon was found near the scene.

While police investigations into the incident continue, the body of Furkan Ç. has been transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
