Body of man missing for 10 years found in house foundation
In the Doğanşehir district of Malatya, the body of a man who went missing 10 years ago was found in the foundation of a house destroyed by the earthquake. Three people, including one woman, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The incident occurred in the Yuvalı neighborhood of the Doğanşehir district. According to allegations, relatives of Hüseyin B., who suddenly disappeared in 2014, reported the situation to police teams after they could not reach him.
While teams from the Public Security Branch Directorate launched an investigation into the incident, they focused on the possibility that the missing person might have been a victim of murder and searched the residence of Hüseyin B.'s ex-wife, H.G.
The teams, who did not find any traces or evidence of the individual during the searches, conducted a search with the help of a cadaver dog at the site after learning that H.G.'s house had been destroyed in the earthquakes.
During the search at the residence, a male body was found in the foundation of the house, and it was determined that the body belonged to the missing Hüseyin B. While Hüseyin B.'s body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute following examinations at the scene, H.G., along with A.T. and his brother B.T., who were determined to be involved in the incident, were apprehended and taken into custody.
The suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the Public Security Branch, were arrested and sent to prison.
