Brazen defense from a thief who stole mobile phones from visually impaired citizens! 32 criminal records emerged...

It was determined that an individual named L.U. (40) in Ankara approached visually impaired people he targeted at metro stations under the guise of helping them and stole their mobile phones.

The Ankara Police Department's Public Security Branch Theft Bureau teams, who launched an operation to catch the suspect, began monitoring 5 separate metro stations they had identified. While L.U. was caught at the Atatürk Cultural Center Metro Station and taken into custody, the person to whom he sold the stolen phones was also caught and taken into custody shortly thereafter. The recovered phones were returned to their owners.

IT WAS REVEALED THAT HE HAD 32 CRIMINAL RECORDS

In his statement taken at the police station, it was stated that L.U. confessed to his crime, saying, "I am not stealing for the first time, I am not going to deny it. I stole them under the pretext of saving my phone number. I am regretful." It was learned that L.U. has a total of 32 criminal records across 9 different files opened in his name.

On the other hand, the theft bureau teams caught and took into custody 5 other individuals who committed similar crimes.
