Cargo ship that ran aground in Yeşilköy rescued after 13 hours
The 188-meter-long cargo ship MSC Rhiannon, which ran aground off the coast of Yeşilköy at noon, was rescued after a 13-hour operation.
The 188-meter-long container ship named MSC Rhiannon, which ran aground off the coast of Yeşilköy, Istanbul, while en route from Romania to Tekirdağ, was refloated after an inspection by divers from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, under the coordination of the Istanbul Vessel Traffic Services Center, and with the assistance of the KEGM-3 rapid rescue boat and the KURTARMA-9 tugboat.
