Caused an accident, fled leaving injured friends behind

The accident occurred in the evening hours on Ürgüp Street in the Güzel Yurt neighborhood. According to allegations, an Opel-brand car with license plate 50 ADM 941, whose driver could not be identified, struck a Volkswagen-brand car with license plate 50 EY 594 driven by Güray A. that was traveling in front of it.

The car, sent spinning by the impact, came to a stop after mounting the median, while the driver who caused the accident fled.

The driver of the vehicle with license plate 50 EY 594 and 1 passenger who were injured in the accident were taken to Nevşehir State Hospital by medical teams arriving at the scene and placed under treatment.

The driver of the Opel-brand car, who hit two more vehicles while fleeing, abandoned the vehicle with his 3 injured friends inside on a vacant lot on Erenler Street and fled on foot.

Upon the notification of citizens who saw the wrecked car, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The 3 people injured in the accident were taken to Nevşehir State Hospital and placed under treatment.

Police teams have launched an investigation to apprehend the fleeing driver.
