Chain-reaction accident in Çekmeköy
Seven people were injured in a chain-reaction traffic accident involving 7 vehicles in Çekmeköy during the night.
The accident occurred around 00:30 in Çekmeköy inside the Şile Highway Taşdelen tunnel. According to the information obtained, two cars traveling in the direction of Şile collidedlightly andstopped in the middle of the road.
Five vehicles that could not slow downcrashed into the vehicles stopped in front of it.As a result of the accident, 7 people were injured. Upon notification, police, fire department, and medicalteams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were given initialtreatment at the scene andthen transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Due to the accident, the Taşdelentunnel The road in the direction of Şile was closed for aperiod of time,with traffic flow diverted to the side road. Due to the accident, long vehiclequeuesformed. The vehicles involved in the accidentwereremoved from the road with the help of a tow truck.Following their removal by tow trucks, the road was reopened totraffic.
