In the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, 6 people were injured in a new fight that broke out between the relatives of the parties involved in an armed brawl that had left 1 person injured the day before.
The incident occurred around noon in a field across from the courthouse in the Sanayi neighborhood. Relatives of the parties involved in yesterday's armed brawl encountered each other in front of the courthouse. The argument that started between the groups quickly escalated into a fight involving guns, stones, and sticks.
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. G.D. (20), C.D. (19), A.O. (53), R.D. (46), H.A. (43), and M.A. (46) were injured in the fight.
The injured were taken to Kızıltepe State Hospital and Mardin Training and Research Hospital by ambulances after receiving initial intervention at the scene. While police teams took security measures in the area, some suspects identified as being involved in the fight were taken into custody. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
