The incident occurred at the Polisan factory in the Diliskelesi area. According to allegations, a leak began in a chemical tank at the factory for reasons yet to be determined. Following the report, expert teams were dispatched to the region.
Following the incident, Diliskelesi Neighborhood Headman Adem Kaya stated, "A chemical leak has occurred at the Poliport-Polisan facilities. There is an intense leak.
We are calling out to all our citizens; do not leave your doors and windows open under any circumstances. Take care not to go outside. As the public, we are constantly experiencing such dangers.
Our industrialists also need to take responsibility and show sensitivity regarding this matter. A major leak is currently underway. We call on everyone to be careful for the health of our public," he said.
It was learned that the substance is Toluene Diisocyanate. Meanwhile, the moments when those who noticed the chemical leak fled were reflected on a mobile phone camera.
