Child found unconscious by mother dies in hospital

The incident occurred at approximately 19:15 in Saka Street, Hürriyet Neighborhood, Esenyurt. According to the information obtained, the mother, Ayten Yılgın, who returned home from work, found her 13-year-old son, Eren Yılgın, unconscious on the floor and called for help.

Neighbors who heard her screams reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Service. Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After conducting an initial check, the medical teams transported the child to Esenyurt State Hospital.

Despite all interventions at the hospital, 13-year-old Eren Yılgın could not be saved and passed away. The mother, who suffered a nervous breakdown, was sedated by nurses.

The body of the 13-year-old child was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy. Police teams conducted an investigation at the house and in the surrounding area regarding the suspicious death. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Neighbor Kerim Köse said, "His mother and father work. The child was home alone. When his mother entered the house, she found the child unconscious in the hallway and then notified the medical teams. They took him to the hospital, but news came that the child had died. It is said that he had last ordered food from a restaurant," he said.
