Children who entered the pool began to vomit
The treatment of 3 children affected by chlorine in a swimming pool in Rize continues.
In a written statement from the Provincial Health Directorate, it was stated that the general condition of the 3 children, aged between 7 and 9, who were hospitalized after being affected by chlorine gas at the Olympic swimming pool, is better compared to yesterday.
The statement noted that the children's treatment is continuing in the pediatric ward of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Training and Research Hospital.
Yesterday, at the Yenişehir Sports Hall Swimming Pool Complex, pool maintenance staff, a lifeguard, and 3 children were taken to hospitals in Rize with complaints of nausea and fainting.
The pool staff and the lifeguard were discharged following their treatment, and the Rize Governorship and the Youth and Sports Directorate have launched an investigation into the incident.
