Citizen's reaction was harsh: You couldn't protect anything as an opposition, 'You must have a wound' if you can't speak up

Speaking to the YouTube channel Sokak Kedisi, a citizen gave a striking speech summarizing the current state of the country when asked about their thoughts on the stray animal law. Stating that there is much that needs to be discussed, the citizen used the following striking expressions:

"There is so much we need to talk about! Should we talk about our children's lives being taken away? Should we talk about people having to calculate even to buy water on the street? Should we talk about our forests being burned in a planned and programmed manner?

Should we talk about our country being plundered? Should we talk about it being occupied silently and intentionally? Should we talk about the animals?

We are in such a predicament that, while people intentionally—'those people'—are dragging the country into a magnificent darkness, should we talk about us being here, aware of this with our free will, yet unable to express it?

Since the Republic of Turkey was founded, in such a despicable way...

I don't think the country is being governed! We are experiencing a very serious problem; my daughter is 23, my son is 20, the futures of the children walking on these streets have been taken away, their rights to education and freedom have been taken away, and later on, we will most likely need a War of Independence.

Everyone knows but cannot voice it; people have been intimidated and suppressed. Those who spoke up paid the price.

We live in a country seized by organized evil. No one has hope; we are in a position where we accept the world's garbage, and there is a different purpose behind this; the point they want to take the country to is incredibly dark...

Everyone should speak up, we cannot protect the animal on the street!

We are trying to protect our children from the power governing the country; while our children are being raped, the power governing the country can say 'nothing will happen just once' and can decide to kill the animals on the street.

We need to look after the youth; we shouldn't let them be crushed this much; the mother and father raising them cannot even put pocket money in their pockets.

A citizen of the Republic of Turkey is in a worse position than citizen X... Finally, we will be taxed on our breath!

Everything they take from me and my child's future, they present on a golden platter to those they bring from outside. The reason for this is something else! These are not victimized people fleeing war, these are people coming across our borders, and this silent invasion will explode very badly!

There is no opposition that thinks of the Turkish people, there is no strong opposition...

We have become a suppressed people because we have no leader. Members of opposition parties should remember that they are people of the Republic of Turkey, they should return to their factory settings, to Atatürk's principles...

Your priority should be the Turkish people and Turkish lands; we are currently losing our lands. We don't have a single factory left that was built during the War of Independence, our 128 billion dollars are gone, why is no one being held accountable?

You cannot act as an opposition as much as I do!

If you are sitting in parliament with the vote I cast and the taxes I pay, you cannot oppose the government with less opposition than I do! I am an ordinary citizen; if you represent me, you have to be stronger and more determined than I am.

'If we explain this, the world will shake'—explain it, hold them accountable! I think if you are not holding them accountable, 'you have a wound' there, otherwise you would come out and shout...

As an opposition, you couldn't protect anything: You cannot protect our youth, our children, and now our animals. And now you cannot protect the lands of the Republic of Turkey...

Neither the opposition nor this organized evil deserves these lands of the Republic of Turkey

Our hearts ache now; we don't have the face to watch videos of Atatürk or look at his photograph!
