The incident occurred during the night on Yeni İstanbul Street in the Bosna Hersek neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district. According to the information obtained, E.Y. was stopped by traffic teams during a routine check while driving his car with the license plate 42 SH 584. The driver, E.Y., who handed his license to the teams, initially refused to blow into the breathalyzer. 

As a result of long-lasting persuasion efforts, the driver, who blew into the breathalyzer, was found to have 1.87 promille of alcohol in his system. While the teams were applying administrative penalties to the driver, E.Y. first told the journalists filming him, "you cannot broadcast this footage," and then claimed that he knew about the earthquakes that occurred on February 6 six months in advance and that he had proof. 

While the drunk driver E.Y.'s license was confiscated for 6 months, he was fined 9 thousand 268 TL for driving under the influence. After the procedures, the driver E.Y. was taken to the police station to give a statement.
